Long term Community Forest Director Rob Mackay resigns after years of positive contribution.

On August 26, 2023, Rob Mackay informed the Tumbler Ridge Community Forest  board that his is stepping down as a volunteer member of the community forest board.  Rob has been an active member of the board since its inception in 2011. Rob was designated by council to sit on the board and represent council’s interest.  Over his long tenure on the board, Rob has taken on the role of chair, vice chair and as a regular member. His fondest memories are working with the other board members and management of the community forest.  He is committed to giving back to the community and is proud to have been an active participant in the granting of over a million dollars to over fifty grant recipients in the community.

Rob would like to leave the thought with the community to “continue to encourage and promote the Community Forest for all it does for Tumbler Ridge and surrounding towns”.  Management and the board will miss his guidance and experience on the board and would like to thank him for his unwavering service to the community forest over the last twelve years.
